LME Nickel Prices to Return to $10,000 per tonne, SMM Expects

LME nickel is expected to return to $10,000 per tonne this week, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (SMM) – LME nickel is expected to return to $10,000 per tonne this week, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

“LME nickel prices are expected to trade between $9,800-10,100 per tonne this week, and market caution will grow as the SHFE market will close from next Thursday for the week-long Chinese National Day holiday from Oct. 1-7,” SMM says. 

SHFE nickel prices are estimated to stabilize between 76,000-79,000 yaun per tonne, SMM expects, with light trading in China’s spot nickel market.
