Yunnan Metallurgical Group signed an agreement with the government of Zhaotong, Yunnan, to build a 700,000-tpy aluminum project there, hexun.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 25 (SMM) – Yunnan Metallurgical Group signed an agreement with the government of Zhaotong, Yunnan, to build a 700,000-tpy aluminum project there, hexun.com reported.

The project is scheduled to enter into operations in October 2017, with construction scheduled to begin in October 2015, the media added. The project has a total investment of 6 billion yuan or USD 940 million and will rely on hydropower.
