LME nickel prices opened at USD 9,690/mt Wednesday, and fell after reaching USD 9,770/mt.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 24 (SMM) – LME nickel prices opened at USD 9,690/mt Wednesday, and fell after reaching USD 9,770/mt. During European and US trading, LME nickel prices touched USD 9,870/mt, but plunged at the end of trading and closed at USD 9,765/mt, up 1.19%. Trading volumes decreased 1,200 lots to 5,766 lots, and total positions increased 1,275 to 242,104. LME nickel inventories grew 1,332 to 454,026 mt.

LME nickel prices will lack ability to rise today. SHFE 1601 nickel contract prices will hover between RMB 76,000-77,200/mt today.
