Inner Mongolia’s rare earth export volumes surged January-August, but export value dropped, www.tibetinfor.com.cn reported.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 22 (SMM) – Inner Mongolia’s rare earth export volumes surged January-August, but export value dropped, www.tibetinfor.com.cn reported. 

Export volume soared 33.3% to 3,692.3 tonnes during the first eight months of the year, the media reported, citing customs data. Export value, however, fell 15.4% to 110 million yuan ($17 million).  

Inner Mongolia is China’s major rare earth producing region.
