SHANGHAI, Sept. 18 (SMM) - Orders from electronics, tire and ceramic sectors improved recently as the weather gets cooler, a zinc oxide plant told SMM.

However, zinc oxide plants left inventories low due to bearishness. Meanwhile, zinc slag supplies increased as galvanizers restarted production, also undermining their buying interest.

Prices of indirect zinc oxide fell to 14,400-14,900 yuan per tonne this past week as zinc prices posted precipitous decline, according to SMM data.
