SHANGHAI, Sept. 18 (SMM) - ThyssenKrupp put its 450,000-tpy high-quality hot-galvanized plate project in Chongqing online recently, sina.com reports. The project is a JV between ThyssenKrupp and Ansteel, with each holding a 50% stake.

The hot galvanizing line will mainly produce high-strength steel, duplex stainless steel and Al-Si coating steel plate used in automobiles, which is expected to service central and west China’s customers.

"We hope to capitalize on the huge market in China and supportive policies for central and west China,” said Heinrich Hiesinger, Chairman of Director Board and Chief Executive Officer at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG.
