SHFE Nickel Prices off 0.46% (Sept. 17, 2015)

For night trading Wednesday, SHFE 1601 nickel opened at RMB 78,800/mt and then fluctuate in RMB 78,500-79,000/mt.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 17 (SMM) – For night trading Wednesday, SHFE 1601 nickel opened at RMB 78,800/mt and then fluctuate in RMB 78,500-79,000/mt, to close at RMB 78,570/mt.

SHFE nickel started at RMB 78,620/mt Thursday and advanced to RMB 79,320/mt responding to a growth in Chinese stock market. Nonetheless, near the session’s end, the contract retreated all the gains with a slip in Chinese shares and exit of longs, to end at RMB 78,590/mt, down 0.46%. Trading volumes grew 200,000 to almost 1.68 million lots and positions increased 4,028 to 252,000.
