ALBANY (Scrap Monster): Niagara Falls, New York-based Niagara Metals has opened a new facility in Cheektowaga. The grand opening of the facility was celebrated on September 12th. This is the company’s fourth scrap metal facility after Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Royalton.
The new facility is conveniently located at 3035, Union Road near the corner of Union and Broadway. The facility which has a 15,000 square feet non-ferrous warehouse is just 1.5 miles west of the Walden Galleria Mall. The facility will buy and recycle all types ferrous and non ferrous scrap metals from businesses, as well as consumers. Niagara Metals Cheektowaga location will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The company website states that new scrap metal recycling center has in-and-out truck scales that will accept all grades of steel, aluminum, iron, stainless steel, junk cars, alloys, copper wire & cable and brass scraps at competitive prices. Further, it states that valid ID is compulsory for all scrap transactions.
Niagara Metals was founded in 2006 by its current president Todd Levin, whose family had previously been in the scrap business as the operators of western New York-based Louis Levin & Co. Niagara Metals is a fully integrated scrap metal recycling company operating both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recycling divisions. It is headquartered at Niagara Falls, Western New York on a 55-acre, 100% concrete site that was formerly home to the Carbide Graphite plant
