SHFE Zinc Prices Closed with Gains (Sept. 10, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Sept. 10 (SMM) – SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,960/mt Wednesday evening, then rolled back early gains and closed at RMB 14,845/mt, down RMB 60/mt. Total trading volumes were down 44,056 to 38,628 lots, and total positions decreased 508 to 124,000.

SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices hovered between RMB 14850-14870/mt Thursday, and raced up to RMB 14,900/mt in the afternoon, helped by growing longs, and closed at RMB 14,915/mt, up RMB 60/mt or 0.40%. Trading volumes decreased 84,610 to 97,632 lots, and total positions grew 2,558 to 127,000.
