SHFE Zinc Prices Closed with Gains (Sept. 9, 2015)

SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,730/mt Tuesday evening, then rose to RMB 14,820-14,870/mt and closed at RMB 14,840/mt, up RMB 230/mt or 1.57%.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 9 (SMM) –SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,730/mt Tuesday evening, then rose to RMB 14,820-14,870/mt and closed at RMB 14,840/mt, up RMB 230/mt or 1.57%.

SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,820/mt Wednesday, and broke through RMB 15,000/mt at one point, then fluctuated around RMB 14,930/mt in the afternoon, and closed at RMB 14,905/mt, up RMB 295/mt or 2.02%. Trading volumes surged 59,742 to 124,000 lots, and total positions fell 1,225 to 124,000.
