Shanghai Base Metal Prices to Come under Downward Pressures, with Zinc and Lead Weaker

Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to come under downward pressures on Sept. 7, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 7 (SMM) – Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to come under downward pressures on Sept. 7, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

“Investors remain worried over China’s stock market, and the sentiment will affect Shanghai base metal prices, with zinc and lead expected to be weaker,” SMM says. 

Markets are now very cautious towards US Fed’s decision on its interest rate during the September’s meeting. 

Copper: 38,800-39,200

Aluminum: 11,820-11,900

Lead: 13,200-13,350

Zinc: 14,650-14,750

Tin: 101,000-103,000

Nickel: 76,000-77,500
