SHANGHAI, Sept. 2 (SMM) – LME nickel price is expected to return above $10,000 per tonne in September, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.
“Trading on the SHFE will be suspended from Sept. 3, Thursday, and LME nickel may swing in a wide range, but nickel market is likely to improve in September with economic activities increasing,” SMM nickel analyst says.
During the past three trading days, spot supply in China’s domestic nickel market was sufficient, but downstream producers showed no strong buying interest after earlier purchases.
