Zinc oxide demand is expected to increase soon due to the September-October peak demand season, SMM says.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 2 (SMM) - Zinc oxide demand is expected to increase soon due to the September-October peak demand season, SMM says.

A large number of zinc oxide producers were significantly affected due to Beijing’s parade recently, especially those in Hebei and Shandong. These plants are expected to resume operation this week’s end.

Prices for indirect zinc oxide were 14,800-15,200 yuan per tonne this week, as per SMM data.
