Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Price Extended Losses

Die-cast zinc alloy prices fell further last week.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 31 (SMM) - Die-cast zinc alloy prices fell further last week. The average prices of Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 were down 200 yuan to 15,660-15,730 yuan per tonne and 15,930-16,030 yuan per tonne, respectively, according to SMM data.

Some producers restarted, with overall operating rates low. They bought zinc as needed and left inventories around a week of production, due to wild zinc price volatility, SMM reports.
