SHFE 1510 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,560/mt Thursday evening, then edged up to RMB 14,650/mt and closed at RMB 14,645/mt, up RMB 245/mt or 1.7%.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 28 (SMM) – SHFE 1510 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,560/mt Thursday evening, then edged up to RMB 14,650/mt and closed at RMB 14,645/mt, up RMB 245/mt or 1.7%.

SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices rose to RMB 14,715/mt on Friday morning. But the drop in profit at China’s large industrials expanded in July, weighing down SHFE 1511 zinc contract prices to RMB 14,580-14,640/mt, and closed at RMB 14,610/mt, up RMB 295/mt or 2.03%. Trading volumes increased 12,906 to 101,264 lots, and total positions decreased 26 to 113,558.
