TCs of Imported Zinc Concentrate Fall in September

SHANGHAI, Aug. 28 (SMM) -TCs of imported zinc concentrate fell $5 to $195-210 per dry metric tonne (DMT) for September as supplies declined recently, as per SMM data August 25. Domestic zinc concentrate TCs in September hold stable at 5,300-5,400 yuan per tonne (zinc content).

TCs for imported zinc concentrate (50%) were flat at $200-210 per dry metric tonne (DMT) this past week. Profit from the first widened 200 yuan to 1,230 yuan per tonne (zinc content) above domestic zinc concentrate.

Domestic zinc concentrate TCs were steady between 5,300-5,400 yuan per tonne (zinc content) this week, with some quotes lower at 5,200 yuan.

Domestic zinc concentrate TCs in Inner Mongolia were 5,500 yuan per tonne (zinc content), with supply healthy. Some regions in Inner Mongolia suffered from power restrictions, but any effects on mines were limited. A few smelters in Hunan and Sichuan use Zinc hypoxide as supplies in South China are still tight.
