SHFE Nickel Slips to Daily Limit on Slumping LME Nickel (Aug. 24, 2015)

SHFE 1601 nickel once fell below RMB 79,000/mt after starting last Friday night session at RMB 80,000/mt, to close at RMB 78,930/mt.
SHANGHAI, Aug. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel once fell below RMB 79,000/mt after starting last Friday night session at RMB 80,000/mt, to close at RMB 78,930/mt.
The most active contract opened Monday trading session at RMB 78,600/mt and then dropped to daily limit as LME nickel broke down below USD 10,000/mt, to end at RMB 76,800/mt. Trading volumes saw a rise of 58,574 to 370,000 lots and positions grew 31,110 to 218,000.
