Chinese lead concentrate production is predicted to fall further in August, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 24(SMM) – Chinese lead concentrate production is predicted to fall further in August, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

Lead and silver prices remain on the weak side and thus some mid-sized and small ore suppliers are unwilling to produce, directly cutting domestic supply.

Mines in south China are negatively affected by rainy days in August, which also decreases concentrate supply.

Domestic lead concentrate output totals 224,000 tonnes in July, edging down 0.74 percentage points YoY and slipping 10.31 percentage points from June.
