Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange decline further to 1031 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined further to 1031 points.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined further to 1031 points on Wednesday lead by weak panamax, supramax and handysize rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 15 points to 1046 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
