SHANGHAI, Aug. 21 (SMM) - China’s domestic zinc concentrate TCs are expected to hold stable or fall slightly in the near term because supplies in South China remained tight, SMM says.
Output in South China, including Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan and Yunnan was affected by the rainy season. Transportation in Yunnan and Sichuan was also disrupted due to the adverse road condition, SMM adds.
TCs for domestic zinc concentrate (50%) were stable at 5,300-5,400 yuan per tonne (zinc content) this past week, with some quotes around 5,200 yuan.
TCs of imported zinc concentrate (50%) were also steady at $200-210 per dry metric tonne (DMT), according to SMM data. Profit from imported zinc concentrate was 1,030 yuan per tonne (zinc content) above domestic zinc concentrate.
