Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Exports Receive Little Boosts from Depreciation of Yuan

China’s die-cast zinc alloy producers saw little improvement in exports despite the depreciation of yuan, SMM learned.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 17 (SMM) - China’s die-cast zinc alloy producers saw little improvement in exports despite the depreciation of yuan, SMM learned. Die-cast zinc alloy producers are also unwilling to build stocks with rising zinc prices, leaving demand for zinc soft.

The average prices of Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 rose 134 yuan to 15,710-16,100 yuan per tonne and 16,010-16,400 yuan per tonne, respectively, according to SMM.
