SHANGHAI, Aug. 17 (SMM) - Galvanized plate and coil prices rose last week with the boost from steel prices, SMM reports.
Production at steel and coking plants in six provinces and cities will be restricted due to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War against Japanese Aggression. This drove up hot-rolled coil and strip steel prices, in turn lifting galvanized plate and coil prices, SMM says.
However, demand did not improve because of the off-season, constraining price gains of galvanized products, SMM added.
