SHANGHAI, Aug. 14 (SMM) - Zinc oxide producers in China’s major producing regions including Hebei and Shandong will be forced to cut output during August 28-September 4 or for a longer period, SMM learns.
The two provinces and Beijing have ordered industrials to cut output soon due to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War against Japanese Aggression September 3. Some plants have cut output this past week, SMM reports.
Prices for indirect zinc oxide rallied to 15,100-15,500 yuan per tonne this past week, SMM data show.
