LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities plummeted further to below 1100 points on Wednesday lead by weak capesize and handysize rates.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 69 points to 1093 points on Wednesday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
