SHFE Nickel Ends at RMB 83,490/mt (Aug. 13, 2015)

SHFE 1509 nickel started at RMB 82,700/mt for night trading Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 13 (SMM) – SHFE 1509 nickel started at RMB 82,700/mt for night trading Wednesday and then moved above RMB 83,000/mt, to finish at RMB 82,250/mt.

The most active contract opened at RMB 82,350/mt during Thursday trading session and then retreated some gains with the yuan’s real effective exchange rate falling further. But later the October nickel rallied and closed the day at RMB 83,490/mt. Trading volumes fell 157,000 to 350,000 lots and positions dropped 3,850 to 112,000.
