Johnson Controls to Build an Automobile Battery Producing Plant in Northeast China

Johnson Controls, Inc. has signed contracts with local government to build a new automobile battery manufacturing factory in China’s Shenyang, chexun.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 13 (SMM) – Johnson Controls Inc. has signed contracts with local government to build a new automobile battery manufacturing factory in China’s Shenyang, chexun.com reported.

Investment for the new plant totals $ 0.2 billion and once operational, the factory is schedule to produce six million automobile batteries per year.  

Construction of the plant should commence early next year and the factory is expected to operate in 2018.
