Last Friday evening, SHFE 1509 nickel started at RMB 80,620/mt and then soared to RMB 81,320/mt, to close at RMB 80,760/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 10 (SMM) – Last Friday evening, SHFE 1509 nickel started at RMB 80,620/mt and then soared to RMB 81,320/mt, to close at RMB 80,760/mt.

The most active contract opened lower at RMB 80,600/mt for day trading Monday and then regained the losses as Chinese stocks headed for stability. The price finally ended at RMB 82,200/mt, gaining 1.86%. Trading volumes fell 27,068 to 338,000 lots and positions dropped 9,060 to 140,000.
