SHANGHAI, Aug. 10 (SMM) - Die-cast zinc alloy prices fell further along with zinc ingot prices last week, SMM reports.
Die-cast zinc alloy producers are faced with sluggish domestic and overseas demand. Some also suffer from liquidity crunch, especially in Fujian.
Demand from end-users, including motorcycle, auto parts, hardware and customs sectors shrank. When combined with sliding finished product prices, producers are reluctant to produce.
The average price for Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 fell 130 yuan to 15,740-15,900 yuan per tonne and 16,040-16,200 yuan per tonne, respectively, last week.
