For night trading Tuesday, SHFE nickel started at RMB 81,300/mt and later started to fall, to end at RMB 81,290/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 5 (SMM) – For night trading Tuesday, SHFE nickel started at RMB 81,300/mt and later started to fall, to end at RMB 81,290/mt.

SHFE nickel dived to RMB 80,290/mt after opening Wednesday trading session at RMB 81,290/mt. Then the price rallied to RMB 81,000/mt and finally closed 0.11% higher at RMB 81,190/mt. Trading volumes fell 122,000 to 320,000 lots. Positions dropped 8,504 to 152,000.

Panama to Allow First Quantum to Remove Copper Ore from Cobre Panama Mine

Panama’s government expects to issue a resolution by Tuesday allowing First Quantum Minerals to remove stockpiled ore from the closed Cobre Panama copper mine, Trade Minister Julio Molto said Monday.The mine holds about 38 million metric tons of stockpiled ore, which could yield roughly 70,000 tons of copper.
