[Scrap Price] US H1 scrap average prices remain flat for third week in a row

The US H1 scrap average prices were at $242.17 per long ton, as on 3rd August, 2015.

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $242.17 per long ton, as on 3rd August, 2015. The prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous week. This is the third consecutive week that the average scrap prices have remained unchanged.

The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $242.17 per long ton, holding steady when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at $242.17 per long ton during the week ended 20th July, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $234.50 per long ton.  The average price witnessed no change when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $248.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained flat when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $243.50 per long ton. The prices here remained unchanged when compared with the week before.

Meantime, the weekly crude steel output climbed higher by 1.1% during the week from July 25th to Aug 1st. The output increased by 20,000 short tons to 1.760 million short tons during the week.

According to the latest customs data, galvanized sheet exports stood at 926,600 mt in January 2026 and 1.1677 million mt in February, bringing cumulative exports in January-February to 2.0942 million mt, down 0.14% YoY.
