Nickel ore inventories at the six major Chinese ports grew to 10.76 million tonnes last week, up 80,000 tonnes, Shanghai Metals Market data show.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 3 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at the six major Chinese ports grew to 10.76 million tonnes last week, up 80,000 tonnes, Shanghai Metals Market data show.

The arrival of shipments at ports grew total inventories, SMM said.

Domestic NPI producers picked up more goods from the Port of Lianyungang last week, so ore inventories there declined despite arrival of three ships of ore.

A total of six ships carried nickel ore to these ports last week, and four ships are planned to arrive this week, according to SMM survey.
