Profits for secondary lead smelters remain weak on account of high costs, SMM learns.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 31 (SMM) – Profits for secondary lead smelters remain weak on account of high costs this past week, SMM learns.

In Shandong and Hebei, secondary lead smelters compete to hunt scrap batteries currently, which lends support to scrap battery prices. Meanwhile, secondary lead sells at lows in those two regions, leaving thin profits for secondary lead smelters.
