SHANGHAI, Jul. 30 (SMM) – Inbound shipments of tin concentrate from Myanmar to China are expected to fall during the third quarter of 2015.
“The arrival of monsoon season in Myanmar will be the major behind the expectation,” International Tin Research Institute (ITRI) said.
The later-than-expected arrival of the season also explained the big rise in the country’s exports of tin ore in recent months, ITRI added.
In June, China imported 24,632 tonnes of tin concentrate from Myanmar, up 55% on a yearly basis.
