[Zn Output] Hindustan Zinc Saw Zinc Output Up 35% in Q1

SHANGHAI, Jul. 30 (SMM) - Hindustan Zinc Co.’s zinc output rose 35% YoY to 187,000 tonnes in the first quarter of 2016 fiscal year (April 1- June 30, 2015), with lead output up 27% YoY to 27,000 tonnes, sina.com reports.

Zinc and lead output fell 14% and 17%, respectively, compared to that in the fourth quarter of 2015 fiscal year (January 1- March 31, 2015), due mainly to production cut planned.

The company’s metal content in ore output at mines in 2016 fiscal year will top 2015 fiscal year’s, and metal output at its smelters is also expected to grow noticeably.
