[Pb Battery] Large and Mid-Sized Battery Makers to Raise Operating Rate in August

SHANGHAI, Jul. 29 (SMM) – Operating rate at large and mid-sized lead-acid battery producers are expected to increase in August due to improving demand, industrial insiders foresee.

SMM survey of 10 e-bike lead-acid battery makers indicates that 4 of them will increase operating rate by about 10-20%. 5 respondents will keep production unchanged and 1 producer will lower operating rate.

High temperature quickens battery replacement, driving demand up slightly in end-user market.

Consequently, current operating rate at large and mid-sized battery markers has improved over early July.
