September-delivery nickel on the SHFE opened lower at RMB 81,300/mt for night trading Monday.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 28 (SMM) – September-delivery nickel on the SHFE opened lower at RMB 81,300/mt for night trading Monday and then fluctuated between RMB 81,400-82,200/mt, to close at RMB 81,880/mt.

SHFE nickel soared to RMB 83,420/mt after starting Tuesday trading session at RMB 81,870/mt. The contract finally ended at RMB 82,740/mt, up by 0.11%. Trading volumes fell 36,172 to 595,000 lots and positions slumped 11,042 to 178,000 due to shorts’ closing positions.
