[Crude Steel]Asian crude steel production declined 1.9% in June

According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Asia dropped marginally by 1.9% during the month of June 2015 year-on-year.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Asia dropped marginally by 1.9% during the month of June 2015 year-on-year.

The total crude steel production by China during June was 68.946 Million tonnes, edging lower marginally by 0.8% when compared with the production of 69.510 Mt during June 2014. India produced 7.422 Million tonnes of crude steel, slightly up by 0.8% when compared to 7.363 Million tonnes production achieved during June last year.

Japan reported 6.2% decline in monthly crude steel output during June. Japan's crude steel output dropped from 9.135 Million tonnes in June 2014 to 8.571 Million tonnes in the same month this year.

South Korean crude steel production declined marginally by 3.6% from 6.078 Million tonnes in June 2014 to 5.862 Million tonnes in June this year.

The Taiwanese June steel output dropped substantially by 25.5% to 1.440 Million tonnes from 1.934 Million tonnes during same month last year.
