[Steel Output]China, Japan, Crude Steel production declines in June; Indian output up

Chinese crude steel production for June was 69 metric ton (Mt), a 0.8% decrease compared to June last year, as per the latest figures released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).

SHANGHAI (Scrap Register): Chinese crude steel production for June was 69 metric ton (Mt), a 0.8% decrease compared to June last year, as per the latest figures released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).

According to worldsteel, Japan produced 8.6 Mt of crude steel in June 2015, a decrease of -6.2% compared to June 2014.

India’s production was 7.4 Mt, up by 0.8% on June 2014. South Korea produced 5.9 Mt of crude steel, down by -3.6% compared to June 2014.

The crude steel capacity utilisation ratio for the 65 countries in June 2015 was 72.2%. This is -3.5 percentage lower than June 2014. Compared to May 2015, it is 0.1 percentage points higher.
