Leading battery producers increased ex-works prices of 48v12Ah batteries to 270 yuan and 470 yuan for 48v20Ah batteries currently, SMM noted.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) – Leading battery producers increased ex-works prices of 48v12Ah batteries to 270 yuan and 470 yuan for 48v20Ah batteries currently, SMM noted.

Some news even reported that ex-works prices of 48v12Ah batteries will grow to 300 yuan since July 21.

Distributors also stepped up wholesale prices for 48v12Ah batteries to 280-295 yuan. Nonetheless, industrial insiders expressed that anemic end-user consumption will drive battery prices down again.

E-bike battery market stays quiet even in peak season. Poor consumption and oversupply in batteries lead to fierce competition among large battery producers, leaving battery prices to diverge.
