[Zn Price] Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Demand Softened despite Rising Price

Demand for die-cast zinc alloy weakened during the off-season, though price posted some gains, SMM finds.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) - Demand for die-cast zinc alloy weakened during the off-season, though price posted some gains, SMM finds.

The die-cast zinc alloy sector witnessed declining new orders from electronics and bathroom accessory sectors. Some die-cast zinc alloy producers advanced maintenance cycle due to summer heat.

The average prices for Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 dropped 310 yuan to 16,370-16,570 yuan per tonne and 16,670-16,870 yuan per tonne, respectively, last week.
