SHANGHAI, Jul. 17 (SMM) - Zinc oxide production in Hebei, Shandong, Henan and Tianjin may be restricted for about two weeks by local governments before September 3 - Victory Day of Anti-Japanese Aggression War, SMM learned.

The restriction on zinc oxide production in these regions, especially in Hebei and Shandong with an agglomeration of zinc oxide producers, will curtail zinc demand, SMM says.

Prices of indirect zinc oxide rose 200-300 yuan to 15,500-16,000 yuan per tonne this past week, SMM data show.
