DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Jul. 13 (SMM) - Galvanized plate prices continued to fall due to plunging rebar and iron ore prices, which led to prevailing pessimism in the market, SMM reports.
Demand from traders and end-users was also anemic. Automobile output and sales decreased in June, and orders from home appliance sectors were also sluggish.
Galvanized plate supply was still healthy, though, despite maintenance plans at some steel plants.
Galvanizers are unwilling to replenish raw materials, SMM learned.
