[Zn Inventory] Shanghai Zinc Inventory Down; Guangdong Stocks Grew for Six Weeks

Zinc inventories in Shanghai fell slightly this past week due mainly to fewer arriving shipments, SMM learned.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 10 (SMM) - Zinc inventories in Shanghai fell slightly this past week due mainly to fewer arriving shipments, SMM learned.

"Smelters reduced supply while arriving shipments of imported zinc also declined”, SMM zinc analyst says.

Guangdong’s inventories, however, grew for the six straight week.

Zinc stocks in Tianjin held stable as supply increased on Friday.

Total zinc inventories in the three major markets in China should post a slight growth next week on higher supply from smelters and weak demand, SMM zinc analyst predicts, despite of fewer imports arriving.

Combined inventories in the three markets were 265,500 tonnes this past week, down 1,100 tonnes, according to SMM data.
