Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange declines to 800 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined on Tuesday on lower capesize and panamax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined on Tuesday on lower capesize and panamax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 13 points to 800 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
