Germany Iron Ore imports rise 8.2% in Mar: Eurostat

Germany's inbound shipments of iron ore advanced by 8.2% from a year earlier to 3.82 million tons in March, according to data released by Eurostat.

BERLIN (Scrap Register): Germany's inbound shipments of iron ore advanced by 8.2% from a year earlier to 3.82 million tons in March, according to data released by Eurostat.

The Netherlands was the largest iron ore exporter to Germany with 2.12 million tons.

Germany imported a total of 9.97 million tons of iron ore during January to March 2015, down 11.4% year-on-year.

Germany's iron ore import prices were at $73.1/ton in the January-March period, down by 46% as compared to the corresponding period last year.
