Argentina May Crude Steel output down 15% y/y: CAA

Crude steel production in Argentina fell by 15% from a year earlier to 410,900 tons in May, according to new figures from the Argentine steel chamber (CAA).

BUENOS AIRES (Scrap Register): Crude steel production in Argentina fell by 15% from a year earlier to 410,900 tons in May, according to new figures from the Argentine steel chamber (CAA).
 
Production of hot rolled finished steel products during the month totalled 366,200 tons, declined 16% year-on-year. Output of cold rolled flat products totalled 121,100 tons, down 4.9% from a year earlier.
 
During the first five months, the country's output of crude steel totalled 1.99 million tons, down 10.4% year-on-year, according to the CAA.
