SHFE Zinc Prices Closed with Gains (Jun. 24, 2015)

SHFE 1508 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 15,600/mt Tuesday evening, then rose to close at RMB 15,665/mt, up RMB 45/mt or 0.29%.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1508 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 15,600/mt Tuesday evening, then rose to close at RMB 15,665/mt, up RMB 45/mt or 0.29%. Positions decreased 1,874. Positions of SHFE 1509 zinc contracts grew 1532 to 95,314.

SHFE 1508 zinc contract prices rose to as high as RMB 15,795/mt on Wednesday, and closed at RMB 15,790/mt, up RMB 170/mt or 1.09%. Trading volumes increased 13,466 to 63,460 lots, and total positions declined 5,328 to 105,080. SHFE 1508 zinc contract prices will point toward RMB 15,800/mt.
