Operating rates at Chinese aluminum rolling mills will fall in June due to softer end user demand, SMM predicts.
SHANGHAI, Jun. 24 (SMM) – Operating rates at Chinese aluminum rolling mills will fall in June due to softer end user demand, SMM predicts. 
 
Hot summer will undermine activity in construction, transportation, and home appliance sectors, hurting demand for aluminum plate, strip and foil. 
 
The operating rate in foil segment should drop to 61% in June from May’s 63.79%, and that in plate & strip segment should slide to 62% from May’s 63.07%.
