BRASILIA (Scrap Register): Iron ore shipments from Brazil totalled 23.65 million tons in May, down 0.76% from a year earlier, according to data released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
The average export price of iron ore during the month recorded at $27/ton, declined 19% year-on-year.
During the first five months, the country's iron ore exports hit 126 million tons. It is estimated that the total exports will reach 300 million tons this year.
