SHANGHAI, Jun. 23 (SMM) –EMM producers raised offers early last week, dampening buying interest. EMM prices stabilized later in the week. Some stainless steel mills announced facility maintenance plans in early June, which will cut EMM demand by some 13,000 mt based on incomplete statistics and estimate. Rising export prices curbed buying interest of overseas buyers. A small number of EMM producers resumed production, adding to market supply.
Traders might stockpile goods in late June as delivery deadline is due soon. This will help prevent EMM prices from falling.
